About us
Global Dissent is a dynamic and compassionate membership organization committed to empowering individuals to enact meaningful change. We firmly believe that transitioning from capitalism to a Resource-Based Economy is not only possible but essential. In this new system, organisations will prioritize resource and knowledge sharing over trade, ensuring that collective decision-making and resource allocation serve social benefits rather than profit. Knowledge and natural resources will be managed for the common good, liberated from the constraints of market forces. Together, we are poised to accelerate the transition to a better system that genuinely meets the needs of our community.
Our vision
Global Dissent envisions a global, sustainable, and resource-based economy that completely redesigns human society to operate without money, debt, or servitude. Founded by Jacque Fresco, our vision advocates applying science, technology, and engineering to manage resources efficiently for all inhabitants, eliminating war, poverty, and environmental degradation.
We envision a world that:
-
Coincides with the carrying capacity of Earth
-
Favors the scientific method as a source of explanations
-
Relies on engineering to improve human life on Earth
-
Coordinates all people to transcend national borders
-
Fulfills the necessities of life, education, health, and culture
-
Treats resources as a common heritage and engages in equitable resource sharing
-
Addresses problems via prevention using a systems approach
-
Shares and applies new technologies for the benefit of life
-
Prioritizes the production of high-quality, long-lasting products
-
Restores and enhances the natural biosystems and ecosystem services
-
Stabilizes the world’s population through education and voluntary birth control
-
Withstands and adapts to change
Global Dissent envisions a world without:
-
War, poverty, crime, prisons, police, military, money, debt, servitude, disease, pollution, prejudice, artificial scarcity, nation-states, market-state, nationalism, elitism, perverse incentives
